Security Benefit Makes $250,000 Donation to Topeka Zoo for Future Masterplan Projects

Security Benefit, a leading provider of retirement savings and investments, has reaffirmed its commitment to community enrichment with a donation of $250,000 to the Topeka Zoo. This significant contribution is for our next masterplan project that is dynamic, brings new animals to the zoo, has joyous play, and fun ways to learn for all of us to conserve and take care of our world. Our future project will have space for all, especially the young at heart, changing the heart of the zoo. Security Benefit’s continued support and significant gift is one of our first lead gifts during our private campaign before our public campaign kickoff later in the year. The Zoo cannot wait to share what is to come.

Through interactive play, engaging learning experiences, and immersive exploration, the Topeka Zoo will provide a dynamic platform for children to deepen their appreciation for the natural world.

“The Topeka Zoo is a treasured asset in our community and one that our company and our employees have supported for decades,” said Doug Wolff, Security Benefit CEO. “In the past, we have provided funding for the pavilion, Camp Cowabunga, the petting zoo, and more recently for Zoo Lights. We are excited to be a part of a new and dynamic habitat creating great spaces for both guests and new animals for the zoo and the community.”

The collaboration between Security Benefit and the Topeka Zoo underscores a shared commitment to community engagement and environmental conservation. Through this partnership, both organizations are poised to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families throughout Topeka and the surrounding community.

“We are deeply grateful to Security Benefit for their generous donation,” said Fawn Moser, Interim Director. “Together, we will create transformative experiences that inspire a lifelong passion for sustainability and awareness of our environment.”

As the Topeka Zoo continues to evolve, the impact of this contribution will be felt for generations to come
